In Non-E3 News
It’s been a big day in E3 news but we have something slightly different to report today. It seems that much-hyped and derided RPG Cyberpunk 2077 will return to PSN on June 21st.
“SIE can confirm that Cyberpunk 2077 will be re-listed on PlayStation Store starting June 21, 2021,” a Sony spokesperson said in an email. “Users will continue to experience performance issues with the PS4 edition while CD Projekt Red continues to improve stability across all platforms. SIE recommends playing the title on PS4 Pro or PS5 for the best experience.”
While perhaps not the best news for those hoping to play on a base PS4, it is good to see that the game has come far enough that Sony feels comfortable selling it again. Our own Christian Angeles reviewed the PS4 version last year, giving it a 2.5/5 after citing a huge number of bugs that caused massive issues.
Sony originally pulled the game in December amid reports of a huge number of bugs that made the game hard to complete on their platforms. Refunds were eventually offered. This has been a massive fall from grace for the game, once one of last year’s most anticipated titles.
