The infamously awful Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties is coming to consoles and PC thanks to Limited Run Games
Limited Run Games’ scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could re-release Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties, they didn’t stop to think if they should.
When it comes to video games, few are as infamous as Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties. First released for the 3DO in 1994, it essentially walks the line between a slideshow and the kind of movie you’d find on late-night Cinemax. It’s racy, stupid, and only offers the bare minimum of interactivity. That said, it’s no wonder the game is often lumped in with digital dumpster fires like Desert Bus and Hong Kong 97.
If you happen to be morbidly curious or just appreciate those “so bad, it’s good” games (don’t worry, I won’t judge. I have my 3DO copy and cherish it), then this just might make your day. During today’s LRG3 event, Limited Run Games announced plans to bring Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties to the Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC.
Yes, you read that right. You’ll actually be able to play Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties on a Nintendo platform. How times have changed.
Finally, the most requested and anticipated game of ALL TIME. We’re bringing Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties to PS4, PS5, PC, and Switch physically and digitally! Follow us for more info. #LRG3 pic.twitter.com/zNNcvfLf5i

Unfortunately, no pre-order date has been confirmed. Likewise, neither has the inevitable over-the-top collector’s edition. God only knows what the madmen at LRG will be cramming in there. However, you can be sure we’ll let you know when LRG announces them.
So, what do you think? Should LRG go for Superman 64 next now that they’re tackling Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties? How about Big Rigs: Rigger and Badder? Sound off in the comments and let us know.
