Survive Together
Arkane Austin, the team behind 2017’s hit Prey, revealed their newest game today at Microsoft’s E3 Showcase. Redfall plans to launch in summer 2022 for Xbox Series X|S, and PC. No Xbox One version has been announced at this time, making it the rare Microsoft published title with no known plans to support the platform.
An open world co-op shooter, Redfall finds you living in the small town of Redfall, Massachusetts. While it isn’t every day that a town like this finds itself under siege from a horde of vampires, that’s exactly the situation in Redfall. After blocking out the sun, these vamps seem set on drinking your blood. These are no ordinary vampires either. Grown in a lab, they are still evolving and gaining new abilities to kill you and your team.
Redfall allows for solo or co-op play with up to three additional players. A diverse team of characters will need to work together if they hope to survive. They’ll have to contend with not only the vampires, but also a variety of human cultists worshipping their new bloody overlords.
Sounds like a bloody good time to me. We’ll have more on Redfall as details are announced. I look forward to checking it out next summer. Until then, watch the game’s first trailer below.
