Event Quests incoming!
Monster Hunter Rise may not technically be a “new” game at this point, but that didn’t stop Capcom from stirring up some excitement about it during their E3 2021 presentation by announcing that the game would soon be getting a Version 3.1 update.
A smaller update than 2.0 and 3.0, MHR 3.1 will focus on Event quests, allowing players to go on hunts to earn exclusive rewards. So far, we’ve seen a “play dead” pose, a new set of stickers, a second pair of shades, and some pretty rad-looking black pants. Who knows how good the equipment will be defensively, but, hey, at least you can make some pretty sweet layered armor!
Capcom has also given more information on the first “Capcom Collab,” which is set to release on June 18. This collab will focus on celebrating the upcoming Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, and will allow players to embark on an MHS2-inspired quest. Those who complete the quest will be rewarded with special layered armor which will allow players’ Palicos to take on the appearance of MHS2‘s Tsukino.
Some of you may have completed everything that Monster Hunter Rise has so far, but, thanks to Capcom’s steady stream of updates, you’ll never be waiting around for long!
