E3 2021: The Outer Worlds 2 Announced

The Outer Worlds 2 gets an announcement trailer showing big monsters, arid landscapes, and lots of lens flare effects

Outer Worlds 2

The Outer Worlds 2 was announced today during the Microsoft and Bethesda E3 showcase.

In the game’s not-at-all sarcastic cinematic trailer, we see a massive monster lumbering high above the treetops of a forest, lots of high-tech gunplay, and a new, arid alien world to explore. Oh, we also get lens flares. Lots and lots of lens flares. The game is supposedly set in an entirely new solar system. That said, get ready for new sights to see and new types of life forms to blast to bits when the game finally releases.

Sadly, there was no mention of when we’ll actually be able to get our hands on the game. Still, it’s nice to know we’ll be able to experience another entry in the cheeky, Fallout-inspired series at some point.

Developed by Obsidian Entertainment, The Outer Worlds first released in 2019. In case you’ve yet to check it out, it’s available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. In case you missed it, you can read our thoughts on its DLC expansion, Peril on Gorgon, here.

So, what do you think? Are you looking forward to diving into this sci-fi sequel? Let us know in the comments below.
