Halo Infinite’s multiplayer will be 120 FPS on Xbox Series X, new trailer showcases online gunplay
If you’ve been waiting patiently for news regarding Halo Infinite, you’re in luck. During today’s Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, Microsoft confirmed that the hugely anticipated shooter, developed by 343 Industries, will release this holiday season. The game, which will be available Day One on Xbox Games Pass, will feature free-to-play multiplayer that will run at 120 FPS on Xbox Series X consoles.
A story trailer accompanied the announcement. In it, we learn that Cortana has been deleted and replaced by a new AI. The stranges thing? Seemingly, the Master Chief himself was beyond the order to have his longtime AI comrade erased.
Additionally, Microsoft rolled out a pretty lengthy multiplayer gameplay trailer. In it, we get a look at the various guns we’ll wield, vehicles we’ll commandeer, and maps we’ll be battling out in when the game releases later this year. We see Pelicans dropping off heavy artillery, and Ghosts and Banshees gliding across the battlefield. Finally, we also get a look at the new wrist-mounted grappling hook in action, which really looks like it’ll spice up the multiplayer shootouts.
