Find the Gold Bolts, Craiggerbear, Armor Pod, and Spybot with this Corson V collectibles guide
Need help finding all of the collectibles on Corson V? Don’t worry, Hey Poor Player is here to help. We’ll guide you through Nefarious City’s hazards to round out your collection with this handy guide for the first planet you’ll be able to explore in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
Collecting the Spybot
There are 10 Spybots that you can find throughout Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart‘s worlds. While finding these snooping boxes of bolts can be a bit of a hassle, you’ll be handsomely rewarded for your troubles. After all, it’s the only way you’ll be able to up your arsenal with the mighty RYNO 8, the most powerful weapon in the game.
To find the Corson V Spybot, you’ll need to first make your way through the Nefarious Factory. While you’re there, be sure to grab the Gold Bolt (you can read how just below this section in our Gold Bolt’s guide). Once you exit the factory, you’ll come face to face with some Nefarious Lasertroopers. Blast them to bits of busted bolts, and use the nearby rift to reach the maglev platform.
Once you make your way onto the platform, you’ll have to battle more Nefarious Troopers and Lasertroopers. Destroy them all, and you’ll find your first Spybot in the pipe at the end of the platform.
Gold Bolt Locations
There are three Gold Bolts scattered throughout Nefarious City. Below, you’ll find out where each of these shiny trinkets is hiding and how to get them.
Gold Bolt #1
Starting from Mrs. Zurkon’s shop, head behind the building to your right and you’ll find a magnetic surface going up the building. Lucky for us, Ratchet can climb it using his fancy magnetic footwear. Once you climb to the top of the platform, continue to the right and ascend the stairs that lead to the factory. Look to the right and you’ll see a rift you can tether to. Use it, then wall-jump up the magnetic strips to the top of the platform. Once you reach the top, tether to the next rift to reach the factory.
Once you reach the entrance to the factory, make your way inside. You’ll see conveyor belts loaded with large metal crates running throughout the room. Directly across the room from where you enter the factory, you’ll see a small ledge with a wall-jump path behind it. This is where you’ll want to go. To reach it, you’ll want to ride one of the large crates. Just be sure to avoid the laser barrier along the path. After you make it to the platform and wall-jump your way to the top, turn around. You’ll see Corson V’s first gold bolt on a platform facing the entrance to the factory. Now, head left to the conveyor belt slightly above the catwalk and run across it while taking care not to be crushed by the incoming boxes to collect the bolt.
Gold Bolt #2
Compared to the first bolt, getting this one’s a breeze. Head to Club Nefarious in the city’s southeastern section. Make your way past the giant hologram of Dr. Nefarious (or is it Emperor Nefarious now?), and exit the club to where you first encountered Phantom. Move forward, then use your tether to cross the gap. Once across, head left until you reach the small courtyard with the wall-jump platform in it. Instead of jumping up to the next level, turn to the right and you’ll see a small alley.
Make your way through the alley, then use the two nearby rifts to find Corvon V’s second Gold Bolt.
Gold Bolt #3
You won’t be able to get your mitts on this bolt until your Omniglove has been upgraded with the Phantom Dash ability. Once you have it, proceed back to the bazaar and ride the floating platform just north of Mrs. Zurkon’s shop, back towards the planet’s starting location. Once you disembark the elevator, you’ll see a wall-run platform on your right. Hop from the platform and onto the pipe below, then wall-run across the gap using your Phantom Dash.
Smash the crate to collect some precious Raritanium, then proceed ahead and you’ll find your prize.
Collectible: Robot Disguise Helmet
To obtain the Armor Pod containing the Robot Disguise Helmet, you’ll need to make your way to Pocket Dimension 22-54-97, located in Corson V’s Nefarious City.
Corson V’s Pocket Dimension can be found near the planet’s starting area, In case you managed to forget how to get there, it’s directly north of the entrance to Club Nefarious. Once you find the entrance to Pocket Dimension 22-54-97, press L1 and you’ll be sucked inside.
This Pocket Dimension is pretty straightforward. Remember the massive parade inflatables from the game’s opening chapter? Well, they’ve found their way here. And that’s a good thing because you’ll be using them to reach your first Armor Pod in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. You’ll need to bounce across them while taking care not to plummet into the void below. Occasionally, gun-toting goons will appear and try to make your life miserable. Thankfully, they’re dumb as bricks and easy to dispatch. Just gun them down, and keep moving forward.
Once you bounce your way to the other side, you’ll find yourself on an island with the first Armor Pod. Interact with it, and you’ll get helmet 1/3, the Robot Disguise Helmet. Now, just make your way back through the rift and back onto the seedy city streets where you came from.
Said to carry “the optimism, kindness, and creativity of a fallen hero missed by his comrades,” Craiggerbears are a heartwarming collectible tribute to late longtime Insomniac artist Craig Goodman, who sadly passed away in 2019 after battling brain cancer. There’s one Craiggerbear for every planet you visit in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. In this guide, we’ll show you how to find the one in Corson V’s Nefarious City.
The Corson V Craiggerbear is located just west of the area’s Pocket Dimension portal, just north of Club Nefarious. Look around, and you’ll find a vendor stall with a red awning. Walk up to it, and you’ll be able to collect the first of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart‘s nine stuffed souvenirs. It’s a bit funny that the robot shopkeeper lets Ratchet take this prize free of charge. But hey, we won’t tell our scrap-brained friend how to run his business.
Congratulations. You now have the Corson V Craiggerbear in your collection.
Well, that’s it for our Corson V collectibles guide. I hope it helped save you some time so you can continue on your dimension-bending adventure in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
