E3 2021: Devolver Reveals More MaxPass+ Details

Put the Coffee Down and Talk At My Face!

MaxPass Plus | Nina Featured

All right folks, buckle up. Today Devolver Digital made good on their promise (possibly threat?) to provide more details about MaxPass+. And it was just as insane and laugh out loud funny as you could imagine. Though it started calm with a recap of past presentations, it quickly devolved into utter madness. Don Thacker gets dragged away kicking and screaming, Nina questions reality and things spiral. But that’s always when Devolver Digital is at its finest.

Not only did the presentation include Nina eating grapes and getting carried around by manservants, but it also had the world’s most insane fashion model, Whitlock. Chili dog madness lead to extreme gluttony. We even learned the true meaning of NFT is actually Non Fuckwithable Tape. But the point wasn’t just the humor (though that was nice). Somewhere in there, Devolver Digital fit in some information about MaxPass+.

MaxPass | Trek to Yomi

First of all, MaxPass+ seems to be a no cost subscription service. Which may or may not detract from the whole monetization scheme. On the positive side, there’s a bunch of games that will be included in it. Some we’ve already heard about, such as Phantom Abyss and Death’s Door. Others were surprises, such as the violent action game Trek to Yomi; the super creepy Inscryption; Western hybrid Wizard with a Gun; phone game Devolver Tumble Time and even a physical game by Doinksoft called Demon Throttle. That last one I mentioned is only going to be available physically via Special Reserve Games, just so you know. And it looks like Zelda and a shmup had a baby.

Additionally, MaxPass+ will include some sexy and exclusive merch. That includes a tank top, shirt and the aforementioned NFT. Oh and if that wasn’t exciting enough, the entire Devolver Digital library is available at a discounted price via MaxPass+. The better to buy and then let it sit on your digital shelves, in pristine condition.

MaxPass | Tumble Time

Like all good dreams, Devolver’s presentation ended with Nina suddenly waking up. Leading us to wonder whether everything that transpired was real or just a delightful Inception style dream. Make sure you check out MaxPass+, as well as the newly revealed game trailers below. And thanks to Devolver Digital, Don Thacker and Imagos Films for keeping gaming fun.
