The Complete List of all the Googlide Wreckbox Locations in Biomutant
‘The Googlide’ is a 9-part side quest in Biomutant that kicks off when you first visit your NPC ally Goop in the Subnautica submarine pen. When you meet him he is working on tuning up the Googlide, a jet ski that will help you defeat the final boss of the Surfipelago region.
Your job is to collect all 9 wreckboxes which contain the spare parts needed to outfit the Googlide in armor and upgraded engine parts, in preparation for the area boss battle. You can update your Googlide with the parts acquired from each wreckbox, as you go.
If you’re having trouble completing this part of the game, here is a detailed explanation of each Googlide wreckbox location.
The 1st Wreckbox Location
The first Googlide wreckbox is located in one of the tunnels connected to the Subnautica submarine pen. You first discover it during one of the tasks assigned to you by your NPC ally, Goop.
After navigating a series of tunnels within the Subnautica subterranean complex, you will end up in a large underground chamber where you encounter some enemies. Defeat them and claim the 1st wreckbox containing parts for the Googlide.
The 2nd Wreckbox Location
The second Googlide wreckbox is in the ‘Gumquack Hollow’, a hidden sea cave located just a short distance north from NPC ally Gulp’s ‘Sinkydink’ bar/barge. You can get there quickly by hopping on your Googlide and traveling on water.
Deep within the cave complex, the wreckbox is located just under a flight of stairs and a landing that overlooks some water. You have to leap across to land on the patch of dry ground – take care not to drown while trying to get to it.
The 3rd Wreckbox Location
The third Googlide wreckbox is hidden within the beached wreck of a ship. This area is named ‘Brokenboat’, and is located southeast of the Gumquack Hollow. You can get there quickly by hopping on your Googlide.
When you land there, a large gang of enemies that are camped out there will immediately pounce on you – be prepared for a fight.
After defeating the gang, you will free a captive they were holding in a cage.
Right behind the cage within the rusting husk of the beached boat, is the third wreckbox. Go inside and open the box to accquire more Googlide parts.
So far, so good – but things start to get interesting here.
The fourth Googlide Wreckbox is located at Bangshelter 2E, just a short southeasterly sprint on your Googlide from the Brokenboat.
When you arrive, you immediately have a problem: Bangshelter 2E is a bunker that is contaminated with radioactivity. It is basically impossible to complete this sector’s objectives (which of course includes the acquisition of the wreckbox) without a some protection.
But conveniently, this encounter with radioactivity automatically triggers a secondary side mission called ‘The Radioactivity Pingdish’, which will help you locate the Anti-Radiation Suit. Obtain the crucial equipment by completing this secondary mission, then return to Bangshelter 2E for the Googlide wreckbox.
The 5th Wreckbox Location
You’ll have a much easier time finding the fifth Googlide Wreckbox – it’s conveniently on a tiny island located on the northeastern fringe of the Surfipelago.
The island is right next to the island with Bangshelter 2G on it. Kill the single enemy on the island and make it yours.
The 6th Wreckbox Location
The sixth Googlide Wreckbox is located in a warehouse complex called BrickBrack 3G. It is located a short distance northwest from the fifth wreckbox, on the Googlide.
After pulling up to the site on your Googlide, get off and venture into the complex. Defeat the various enemies that stand in your way.
At the same time, be on the lookout for for a building with a collapsed ceiling and walls. The sixth reckbox is in there.
The 7th Wreckbox Location
The seventh Googlide Wreckbox is again located just to the northwest of the last wreckbox, in an area called the Manufactorium.
Warning: this entire area is also radioactive, and it’s massive! It is advisable (if not completely necessary) to obtain the Anti-Radiation Suit before attempting to find the 7th Wreckbox.
Not only is this area is very large, it is teeming with some powerful enemies. Be cautious – if you just want to get the wreckbox and get out, skirt perimeter of the area (instead of going through it) until you get to the north corner of the site.
Look for a warehouse building a partically collapsed roof and a closed steel door – the 7th wreckbox will be in this room.
Use your crowbar to open it, and claim the prize inside.
The 8th Wreckbox Location
The eighth Googlide Wreckbox is located in a hidden cave just outskirts of Plumsidums Village, which is right on the border of the Surfipelago (aquatic) and Knupstonies (desert) regions.
This Googlide wreckbox location creates a significant hassle, as it you need a special mount to access it. The cave entrance is blocked by a column of stone pillars that look like stalagmites and stalactites that have naturally fused together, and you need a specific animal to help you pull these down so you can get inside (meaning, no other mount will work!).
What you need is a special mount (animal) called the Mjut, and it can be acquired in a lengthy main mission involving another NPC ally, Noko.
After acquiring the Lost Mjut, here is what you do to get inside the cave holding the wreckbox. First, approach the cave outside Plumsidums Village while mounted on your Mjut, and then press the square button on your PS4 controller (or equivalent).
This will place a grappling hook and rope to one of the stone columns. Press the square button again, repeatedly. The mjut will turn around then pull away from the cave entrance.
This will eventually cause the obstructing stone columns to collapse.
Now you have nothing between you and the wreckbox! Go in the cave and take it.
The 9th Wreckbox Location
The 9th Googlide Wreckbox location is in a frozen cold zone in the extreme north of the world map. Inside this zone is the Frozy BrickBrack, a brick warehouse built into the side of a hill.
Note: since this final wreckbox is in a cold zone, getting it will require you to find and obtain the Cold Zone Suit in yet another side mission.
Otherwise, getting this one is easy. Equip yourself with your newly acquired Cold Zone Suit, then approach a building with an entrance built into a hillside.
Kill the enemies defending the entrance of the building and walk in. The final Googlide wreckbox is at the back of the room. Take it – now the quest to find all 9 wreckboxes is complete!
After acquiring all the Googlide Wreckboxes and acquiring some special ammo for your googlide, you will be fully prepared to fight and defeat the Eastern Worldeater, the Porky Puff.
