Shadow Warrior 3’s enemy showcase trailer introduces a bestiary of baddies
Last week, Devolver Digital and Flying Wild Hog released a trailer showcasing some of the weapons plays will be able to wield in Shadow Warrior 3. Now, the publisher has returned to give players more Wang with a new enemy showcase trailer.
Running just under two minutes, the footage introduces a healthy selection of the game’s bestiary of baddies. Among them, we get a look at Hattori, a sword-wielding ghoul with a large straw hat; Seeking Shōkera, a mystic who flies and launches energy projectiles; and Gassy Obariyon, a massive monster with wrist-mounted miniguns who looks a bit like DOOM’s Mancubus.
Perhaps the most bizarre of the enemies introduced in the trailer is Slinky Jakku. This lanky foe has a torso that twists and expands like the titular toy it’s named after as it giggles maniacally. Thankfully, he seems to bleed just like the rest of the motley crew of monster Lo Wang will encounter.

Here’s a rundown of the game courtesy of the publisher:
“Fallen corporate shogun Lo Wang and his former employer turned nemesis turned sidekick Orochi Zilla embark on an improbable mission to recapture an ancient dragon they unwillingly unleashed from its eternal prison. Armed with a punishing mix of blades and bullets, Lo Wang must traverse uncharted parts of the world to track down the dark beast and push the apocalypse back yet again. All it will take is the mask of a dead god, a dragon’s egg, a touch of magic, and enough firepower to hold off the impending cataclysm.”
Those hoping to get their hands on the game won’t have to wait too long. Shadow Warrior 3 will launch on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC later this year.
