Super Rare Games Announces 5 Upcoming Titles

Get Ready For More Great Stuff From Super Rare Games

Super Rare Games | Nintendrew

Today the good folks at Super Rare Games, in collaboration with YouTuber Nintendrew, have revealed 5 upcoming Switch games getting a Super Rare Games physical release. While you’re more than welcome to check out the trailer at the end to see Nintendrew showcase the games, we’re gonna touch on all 5 real quickly.

First up, they’re bringing ABZÛ to a physical format. This game continues SRG’s relationship with 505 Games, responsible for such titles as Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. If you’re not familiar with the game, just read the description below:

ABZÛ needs no introduction – developed by Giant Squid from a team of artistic minds behind Journey and Flower, ABZÛ is a beautiful, acclaimed underwater adventure that evokes the dream of diving. Immerse yourself in a vibrant ocean world full of mystery and bursting with color and life. Perform fluid acrobatics as the Diver, using graceful swimming controls, and discover hundreds of unique species based on real creatures, forming a powerful connection with the abundant sea life.

Super Rare Games | Deponia Collection

Next, Super Rare Games is teaming up with Daedalic to bring us Deponia Collection. This hefty cartridge includes 4 different games from the popular series:

Deponia Collection brings together all the Deponia graphic adventure classics (Deponia, Chaos on Deponia, Goodbye Deponia, and Deponia Doomsday). With nothing but junk as far as the eye can see, take control of Rufus on his homeworld of Deponia, a planet-sized junkyard. Accompany Rufus on his crazy adventure and the most bizarre love story in video game history. Only after surviving wild chases, building insane gadgets, and with a dash of heroism you can overcome this journey.

Super Rare Games | INMOST

The next title is one I’m especially hyped for. INMOST is a atmospheric adventure with really dynamic artwork and complex platforming. You can read more here:

INMOST is an emotional and deeply atmospheric narrative-driven puzzle platformer. Uncover the story of an adventurous young girl, a stoic knight, and a man in search of answers. Explore a crumbling, nightmarish landscape, slice through enemies, and spring deadly traps in order to escape the evil that awaits…

Super Rare Games | Super Crush KO

Super Rare Games is also bringing a colorful indie platformer to a physical format. It’s actually a game I have some familiarity with called Super Crush KO. It’s by the folks at Vertex Pop, and it’s a quirky, albeit short, adventure. More details here:

Super Crush KO is a fast-paced brawler set in a vibrant, near-future city. Zip up your favourite neon jacket and combo your way through swarms of deadly robots to save your kidnapped kitten and, while you’re at it, save humanity from an AI apocalypse. Its lightning-fast gameplay seamlessly blends run n’ gun action and intense beat-em-up combat, all while you blast through a vibrant world inspired by colorful urban cityscapes and pastel skylines.

Super Rare Games | Vigil: The Longest Night

The last physical Switch title on the horizon from Super Rare Games is one I’m very excited for. It’s none other than Vigil: The Longest Night, by the newly renamed Neon Doctrine. Here’s some key tidbits about the game:

Vigil: The Longest Night is a 2D action-RPG with precise, technical combat and a strong narrative. Inspired by Salt and Sanctuary and Castlevania, Vigil: The Longest Night aims to challenge players with its difficulty while compelling them with a tale of eldritch horror. Follow Leila on her quest to save her hometown from the creeping evil infesting the surrounding countryside. Navigate a world that wanders between dream and reality, sanity and madness, and uncover the secret of the longest night and the monstrous entities invading their world.

Those are some quality titles getting the trademark Super Rare Games treatment. Though we don’t have exact release windows for these quite yet, it sounds like they’re slated for later this year. And be sure to stay tuned to HPP for more news from Super Rare Games!
