Hyperstacks gets a new trailer showcasing the game’s perilous platforming, combat and co-op mechanics, and level editor.
Indie developer Squirrel Bytes has released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming VR puzzle-platformer Hypsterstacks, coming to Steam and PlayStation VR.
The latest footage showcases several of Hyperstacks‘ features. Here, we get a look at the game’s diabolical stage designs, littered with deadly traps like saw blades, laser beams, spike pits, and more. We’re also given a glimpse of Hyperstacks‘ combat mechanics and giant boss encounters. Perhaps what’s most exciting, however, is the game’s level editor, which allows you and a friend to construct your own zany gauntlets to test your platforming prowess.

During the Early Access phase, players will be able to give the developer feedback to help improve the game. Additionally, stages created by the community will be featured in the full release and the creators will be tagged accordingly. How’s that for bragging rights?
You can find the list of Early Access launch features below courtesy of the developer:
- New lobby and new game design.
- Campaign mode.
- More NPC’s.
- Improvements in the level research engine.
- Moving objects, lights, and more objects for the level editor.
- New weapons and items.
According to the official Steam page, the game’s developer Squirrel Bytes plans to keep the game in Early Access for about a year. That said, expect to see the full release on Steam and PSVR sometime in 2022.
