The Angels are coming
Digital entertainment studio Maze Theory and the British Broadcasting Studio have announced that Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins is now available.
Developed by Kaigan Games (Sara is Missing, Simulacra, Simulacra 2), The Lonely Assassins is a cryptic, narrative-driven “found-phone” game that builds upon the events seen within the iconic Season 3 Doctor Who episode “Blink.” Players will be able to experience a blend of live-action footage—the entirety of which was shot on location in London and Cardiff—and open-ended puzzle gameplay as they explore, answer calls, view videos, and read messages as they attempt to uncover the truth behind the events transpiring at Wester Drumlins.
“As a massive fan of the mobile-games medium and Blink it’s been incredible to work on Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins, exploring its unique integration of a live-action story with a videogame,” said actress Ingrid Oliver (Doctor Who‘s Petronella Osgood). Stepping back into Osgood’s lab coat was a fantastic experience and I can’t wait for players to join me as part of UNIT in taking on the Weeping Angels together!”
Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins is now available for iOS, Android, and PC via Steam. How many of you Doctor Who fans are going to be picking up this little piece of interactive lore for yourselves? Let us know in the comments below!
