Square Enix Presents digital event to showcase Life is Strange, Outriders, Just Cause Mobile, and more. Will you be tuning in next week?
Square Enix has announced they will be holding a digital event next week to showcase some of its upcoming projects.
The Nintendo-direct style event, aptly dubbed Square Enix Presents, will premier on March 18, 2021, at 10 am PT/1 pm ET on Square Enix’s YouTube and Twitch channels. It will feature a reveal of an all-new Life is Strange game, as well as updates on Outriders, Marvel’s Avengers, Just Cause Mobile, and Balan Wonderland. Square Enix also plans to unveil some unannounced mobile games during the event and detail their plans for the Tomb Raider series’s 25th anniversary.
Additionally, a TAITO Showcase will be held during the event, offering a look at some of Square Enix’s sister company’s upcoming releases.
It’s worth noting that the broadcast coincides with the release of Marvel’s Avengers‘ next major content update. The 1.5 update adds the playable hero Hawkeye, new missions, an additional operation, and the ability to replay the campaign. It seems likely that the event will show off these new features being added to the Crystal Dynamics-developed brawler.
Hey Poor Player’s Christian Angeles has some thoughts on the addition of Hawkeye. If you haven’t yet, you can read them here.
Two of the titles being featured in the presentation are set to release very soon. Legendary developer Yuji Naka’s Balan Wonderworld will on March 26. Warsaw-based studio People Can Fly’s Outriders will follow the following week on April 1, 2021.
