Genshin Impact’s Hu Tao Gets Spooky Character Trailer

Watch Hu Tao lead a lost soul over Wuwang Hill in this new Genshin Impact trailer

Developer miHoYo has released a new character trailer for their hugely popular open-world RPG Genshin Impact, shining a spooky spotlight on Hu Tao.

Accompanied by her ghostly companion, Hu Tao is the 77th Director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor who “walks the line between life and death, shouldering responsibilities unknown to most mortals.”

It’s OK, don’t be scared. Check out her new character trailer below:

At the moment, it’s unclear if she’ll be joining the game’s roster of playable characters. Many players expected her to be added to the game’s “All The Glitters” 1.3 update, which went live in February. With the developer aiming to release updates every six weeks, it seems likely we could be seeing her make an appearance in just a few weeks when version 1.4 rolls out in March. In addition to Hu Tao as a playable character, recent leaks also point to the Japanese-themed Inazuma region becoming available.

Genshin Impact is now available and free-to-play on PS4, PC, and mobile devices. Of course, PS5 owners can also join the fun through the magic of backward compatibility.

So, what do you guys think of Hu Tao? Does this ghostly gal seem like the kind of character you’d want to play as if she makes her way into the game’s roster? We love to hear what you think. Sound off in the comments and let us know.
