Windjammers 2

After a few months of radio silence, publisher Dotemu has finally released a new trailer for Windjammers 2.  The latest footage showcases the game’s Arcade Mode as well as the returning competitor Steve Miller.

In Arcade Mode, you’ll compete in solo matches against AI opponents in addition to optional challenges, which, when completed, allow you to earn credits that will allow you to continue if you lose a match.

Well, what are you waiting for? Check out the latest gameplay trailer for Windjammers 2 below:

While seeing fresh gameplay footage is certainly welcome, that’s not the only good news Dotemu had to share today. In addition to the new trailer, the publisher has also confirmed that Windjammers 2 will feature the welcome addition of rollback netcode. This is a huge plus that should make the online competitions unfold without a hitch.

Windjammers 2 will release on the Switch, PC, and Stadia later this year. Want to get an early taste of the game? If so, you’re in luck! You can download the demo on Steam today.

Are you excited to dive into this follow-up to a beloved Neo Geo classic? As someone who still busts out the original pretty often when hosting game nights, I know I can’t wait to dig into this sequel when it finds its way onto the Switch. How about you?
