id Software and Panic Button Games send Switch gamers to hell today with DOOM Eternal
DOOM Eternal made a BFG-sized splash on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in March. Now, Bethesda Softworks is ending this year with a bang as the game arrives on the Nintendo Switch today.
The Switch version of the game was developed in partnership with Panic Button. The Austin, Texas-based studio previously worked on porting DOOM (2016), Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, and Wolfenstein: Youngblood to the platform. As far as optimizations for the console go, the Switch version will include support for motion-controlled aiming using the Joy-Con, which can be used alongside traditional aiming using the controller’s analog stick.

Here’s a rundown of the game courtesy of the publisher:
“Hell’s armies have invaded Earth. Become the Slayer in an epic single-player campaign to conquer demons across dimensions and stop the final destruction of humanity. The only thing they fear… is you.”
