We’re Baaaaaack!
Well guys and gals, hope you had a good Thanksgiving break! I went from stuffing myself with games to devouring turkey and various starches. But now that my food coma is over, it’s time for another Nintendo Download! This week comes packed with content, including tons of featured games, the usual sales and a smorgasbord of digital goodies. Let’s get started with a game I tried and failed to preorder…
Fire Emblem: Pool of Tears Edition
Oh Fire Emblem. I should have remembered how difficult your limited editions are to acquire. Yet somehow I forgot. Which is why I will not own a physical copy of Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light. Which is especially bitter, since I’ve always wanted to see how the series started. While I’m not against digital copies, I am against Nintendo’s new fascination with limited release windows. Another promising fantasy game out today is Immortals Fenyx Rising. My fingers are still firmly crossed this is the next best thing since Kid Icarus Uprising. But I’ll have to wait for a sale to find out. Those of you that love rhythm should be excited about Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythmic Adventure Pack. Not only does it feature bumping tunes and RPG mayhem, but it has some wonderful cameos as well. If you prefer freaky dog puzzles, try PHOGS! Next up, something truly different. You can now play a strategic adventure called John Wick Hex. Yes, that John Wick. If you’re not sure, at least it has cool cel-shaded art. And lastly, if you want to exercise and game simultaneously, there’s always Fitness Boxing 2: Rhythm & Exercise.
Time For Some Eclectic Bargains
Next up, it’s time for some sales in this Nintendo Download. First up, some cheaper offerings. If you loved Celeste but wanted more platforming, you might wanna check out Ageless for $8.99. Or maybe you love multiplayer mayhem? Then you should look into BOSSGARD for $9.99. Retro fans should take advantage of picking up Ultracore for half off at $9.99. Perhaps you’re more interested in stylish bullet hell? Then try ITTA for only $9.89. Finally, if you’re looking for an indie gem, there’s always 198X. It certainly is promising for only $6.99.
Open Up That Piggy Bank!
But wait, there’s more! You didn’t seriously think that was all the sales from our Nintendo Download, did you? Here’s some pricier but still promising sales. Rogue fans that love amazing art should look at Crown Trick. It’s only $15.99 for right now. Perhaps you love something stranger? Then check out Going Under for $15.99. Strategy fans might enjoy Nowhere Prophet, for only $12.49. Or for a mixture of zombies and waifu, there’s always DEAD OR SCHOOL. It’s pretty affordable at $14.99. But I saved the best for last. If you love retro, platforming and challenge, try Panzer Paladin. It’s an utter steal at $15.99, and still one of my favorite games of the year.
Cue The Torrent Of Games
Lastly, we’ll close out this Nintendo Download as usual with some juicy sales. Firstly, if you live and breathe retro or the retro inspired, try these – Arcade Archives Rush’n Attack, DOG GONE GOLFING, Lofi Ping Pong and Wildfire. For multiplayer adventures, try Dauntless and Spellbreak. If you wanna shoot stuff up, try Cybxus Hearts and GUNPIG: Firepower For Hire. If you want something more edgy, try Morbid: The Seven Acoylytes or Death Tales. For a mix of Metroidvana and monster taming, try Monster Sanctuary. Or for something revolutionary, try Liberated: Enhanced Edition. Puzzle fans have Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 and Steampunk Tower 2. Adventure aficionados can try fault – milestone two side: above and Nine Witches: Family Disruption. Finally, for something totally weird, try Johnny Rocket.
See You Next Nintendo Download
Overall a pretty great Nintendo Download! We hope you found some games to try out this week. And be sure to tune in to HPP next week for more Nintendo goodness!
