The gods return… to Stadia?
There was a time not long ago where I was quite fond of Ubisoft. It felt like they were creatively firing on all cylinders, and they even did things like Nintendo exclusives. I grew to appreciate Rayman especially during that period. But it’s been a few years since I’ve personally been excited about one of their releases. Well, now that’s changed, all thanks to Immortals Fenyx Rising. Admittedly this one is far from an exclusive, since it is coming to pretty much every console out there and upcoming, including my Switch. Fenyx Rising is also coming to Xbox One and Series X, Playstation 4 and 5, PC, Luna and Stadia.
The last console I mentioned is important, since today Immortals Fenyx Rising has a demo returning to the Stadia. The following is a quick description of the demo from the PR:
“Starting today, Immortals Fenyx Rising™ is giving players another chance to get a taste of the game with the return of the free demo on Stadia. Players will dive into the mythological open-world adventure starting at 9 a.m. PST today. This demo sends Fenyx on a quest to discover the mysterious Secret of the Cyclops. Set in a new archipelago inspired by Aphrodite’s region of the game, the demo will feature a mix of combat, exploration and puzzles designed to get players primed for the full experience.”
The Stadia demo sounds pretty fun overall. It helps that I am rather excited by Immortals Fenyx Rising. Which is good, since it releases on pretty much everything December 3rd. The game itself strikes me as a mixture of God of War and Kid Icarus, and that has a lot of potential to be awesome. So if they decide to release a Switch demo, that’d be epic. Here’s hoping this mythological game makes me a fan of Ubisoft again.
