Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Biggest Game Launch in Series History

Valhalla is also the biggest PC launch ever for Ubisoft

Assassin's Creed Valhalla

People have been hyping up Assassin’s Creed Valhalla for a while, now, and appears that that wasn’t just all talk, as Ubisoft has announced that the game set the record for being the biggest launch in the entire history of the series. Additionally, it’s also the biggest PC launch ever for the company.

Players haven’t just bought Valhalla, though. Ubisoft has reported that, since the launch of the game, the playerbase has been incredibly busy, with players already covering then 4 million kilometers while building settlements, winning over 3.5 games of Orlog, and coming out on top in over 1.8 million drinking games already.

We are truly delighted by the enthusiastic response from players and want to thank the fans for their incredible support, said Julien Laferrière, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla producer.  Delivering this game amid a global pandemic was a true tour de force by our teams and it’s fantastic to see players enjoying the game so much. Launch is only the beginning and we have robust content plans for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla that will keep players immersed in their epic Viking saga for a long time to come.”

There’s no denying that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been winning over the crowds since its November 10 launch, and, if what is being said holds true, players will have plenty more to look forward to in the future. Starting out with nothing more than a Game Boy and a copy of Donkey Kong Land, Kenny has happily been gaming for almost his entire life. Easily-excitable and a bit on the chatty side, Kenny has always been eager to share gaming-related thoughts, opinions, and news with others and has been doing so on Hey Poor Player since 2014 and has previously worked with both PKMNcast and SCATcast. Although his taste in gaming spreads across a wide number of companies and consoles, Kenny holds a particular fondness for Nintendo handheld consoles. He is also very proud of his amiibo collection. You can also find him on Twitter @SuperBayleef talking about video games and general nonsense. Some of his favorite games include Tetris Attack, Pokémon Black Version 2, The World Ends With You, Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, Yo-kai Watch, Donkey Kong Country 2, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Kirby's Dreamland 3, Mega Man X, and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (among many others).
