2020 may come and go without seeing a new Atelier entry, but Koei Tecmo has ensured that that won’t be the case next year as Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy has been announced for an early 2021 release.

A direct sequel to the first Atelier RyzaAtelier Ryza 2 once again follows Ryza & co. on a journey to uncover the secrets behind the ancient ruins and the truth behind the Royal Capital’s long-lost legends. Along the way, Ryza finds herself making a friend in Fi—a small, mysterious, and adorable winged creature—with Ryza eventually coming to realize that her tiny new companion houses a huge power within itself. Fans will be able to experience gameplay both familiar and new—such as the ability to send Punis out to gather ingredients—ensuring that there will be plenty to look forward to as they progress.

Alongside the release date of Atelier Ryza 2, Koei Tecmo has also announced that they will be releasing Digital Deluxe and Ultimate Editions of the game. For further details, you can check out their contents below:

Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy is slated to release on January 26, 2021, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. Additionally, those who purchase physical or digital copies of the game for PS4 can receive an upgrade to the digital PS5 version of the game at no additional cost.
