Sack the cities of 9th century England as the fearsome Viking Eivor in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, now available on consoles and PC
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is now available for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PC and will release for the PS5 alongside the console’s launch on November 12.
The 12th mainline entry in Ubisoft’s long-running open-world adventure series, it puts players in the furry boots of the mighty Viking Eivor The Wolf-Kissed as you explore the rugged fjords of Norway and bustling cities of 9th century England. It introduces several new features to the series’ time-tested formula, including the ability to turn a dusty hamlet into a thriving port city, an overhauled combat system, and expansive skill & ability trees to master.

The Legend of Beowulf quest – In this exclusive quest, players will uncover the monstrous truth behind the legend of Beowulf, available on launch day.
Expansion 1 – Wrath of the Druids (Spring 2021) – In this new adventure, players will journey to Ireland and unravel the secrets of an ancient and mysterious druidic cult, tracking and discovering their members. Diving into Gaelic myths and folklores, they’ll need to fight their way through haunted forests and dazzling landscapes while gaining influence among Gaelic kings.
Expansion 2 – The Siege of Paris (Summer 2021) – In The Siege of Paris, players will have the chance to relive the most ambitious battle in Viking history with key historical figures of war-torn Frankia. During this key moment in history, players will infiltrate the fortified city of Paris and the River Seine under a prolonged siege, uncover enemy secrets and form strategic alliances to safeguard their clan’s future.
I had an absolute blast channeling my inner Viking as I ran amok across the muddy hamlets and imposing fortresses of England for my review, saying:
“At the end of the day, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is an exceptional adventure that should please fans of the series. Ubisoft Montreal has succeeded in crafting a striking medieval world that’s just begging to be explored.” I also praised the town-building mechanic, saying it “provided a satisfying sense of progression.”
