Amnesia fans are in for a terrifying treat today, as Frictional Games has just released their first-ever trailer for the upcoming Amnesia: Rebirth.

The third title in the Amnesia series, and the first new entry to release in over seven years, Rebirth follows Tasi Trianon’s harrowing journey through the Algerian desert as she confronts the terrors around her and is forced to push herself to the limit in order to survive. Details are still somewhat scarce for the game, but the newly released trailer gives us a glimpse at some of the locations, puzzles, physics mechanics, and, most importantly, one of the monsters that will be chasing players around. If you’re interested in learning more, you can check out the nearly five-minute-long trailer down below.

Amnesia: Rebirth is slated to release on October 20, for PlayStation 4 and PC. The game is now available for pre-order, with those purchasing through Steam receiving a 10% discount on the normal $29.99 price. What are your thoughts on the game so far? How do you think it will compare to previous entries in the Amnesia series? Will you be picking it up for yourself? Let us know what’s on your mind in the comments below!

Starting out with nothing more than a Game Boy and a copy of Donkey Kong Land, Kenny has happily been gaming for almost his entire life. Easily-excitable and a bit on the chatty side, Kenny has always been eager to share gaming-related thoughts, opinions, and news with others and has been doing so on Hey Poor Player since 2014 and has previously worked with both PKMNcast and SCATcast. Although his taste in gaming spreads across a wide number of companies and consoles, Kenny holds a particular fondness for Nintendo handheld consoles. He is also very proud of his amiibo collection. You can also find him on Twitter @SuperBayleef talking about video games and general nonsense. Some of his favorite games include Tetris Attack, Pokémon Black Version 2, The World Ends With You, Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, Yo-kai Watch, Donkey Kong Country 2, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Kirby's Dreamland 3, Mega Man X, and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (among many others).
