Control a massive armada of spaceships in Shoot 1UP DX
Indie developer Mommy’s Best Games has announced that their retro-inspired shoot-’em-up game, Shoot 1UP DX, will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch on October 15th.
An enhanced version of Shoot 1UP, which initially released on Steam in 2015, Shoot 1UP DX is a vertically scrolling shooter in the vein of popular series like Raiden and Strikers. However, it adds a unique twist. Instead of stocking up on 1UPs, you play as all of your ships as one giant airborne armada as you blast your way through the game’s 8 challenging stages.
“I’m very proud of the innovation the original Shoot 1UP brought to shoot-em-up genre, and excited to re-release a Deluxe Version to modern consoles”, said Mommy’s Best Games lead designer and co-owner Nathan Fouts in a press release distributed today. “We’ve added two new levels, new bosses, and many more weird enemies, ensuring that even veteran players are in for plenty of surprises.”
Additionally, Mommy’s Best Games has released a trailer for the game. Clocking in at just shy of a minute, it does an excellent job of showcasing its frantic action, an assortment of enemies, and colorful stages.
