A New RWBY Video Game Is In Development, Will Release On Consoles Next Year
Indie developers WayForward have confirmed their production of a new video game based on the popular western-anime RWBY. The project will be made in conjunction with developers/publishers Arc Systems Works and producers of RWBY Rooster Teeth.
An original storyline for the RWBY video game will be put together by the writers of the show. Kerry Shawcross, Miles Luna, and Eddy Rivas. The majority of the game’s development will be WayForward’s responsibility, with publishing split between the developers and Arc Systems Work.
“It’s a massive honour to be trusted with a beloved brand like RWBY. Collaborating with the innovators at Rooster Teeth has been a blast, and we think the characters, personality, and style of RWBY are a great match for WayForward’s design sensibilities. We hope that fans are looking forward to seeing their favourite Huntresses in action as much as we’re looking forward to bringing the game to them.” – Voldi Way, WayForward “Tyrannical Overlord.”
The official title for the game has yet to be confirmed but is expected to launch across consoles in 2021. More information on the project will be released on the WayForward website.
