Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2

Today during the New Game Plus Expo, Art Play’s Koji Igarashi revealed that Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 is currently in development for consoles and PC.

The sequel to Inti Creates’ retro-inspired spinoff of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Curse of the Moon 2 introduces four new playable characters: the sword-wielding exorcist Zangetsu, a holy warrior and master of the spear and healing abilities named Dominique, the sharpshooting soldier Robert, and Hachi, a corgi in a massive suit of magic armor that he uses to obliterate any demons who get in his way.

“I hope you have enjoyed the Bloodstained series thus far,” Igarashi said when introducing the game, which is currently in development for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. “Based on the stretch goals funded by the game’s Kickstarter campaign, we were able to create an 8-bit spinoff titled called “Curse of the Moon.” We were so happy to see how much fans enjoyed the game, and from that, a decision to make a sequel quickly followed suit.”

While no exact release date has been announced, Inti Creates teases that the game is coming soon. That said, we’re guessing it’s likely this surprise sequel will be available by the end of the year.
