The donations will go to several organizations offering much-needed support to the pandemic relief effort.
Bethesda Softworks has announced plans to deliver $1,000,000 of financial support to organizations aiding COVID-19 relief efforts.
The donations from the publisher, who most recently published id Software’s DOOM Eternal for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, include $500,000 in support of the charity Direct Relief, which provides personal protective equipment to healthcare professionals. Additional contributions of $250,000 each will also go to UNICEF, which partners with front-line responders to protect children and their families, and local COVID-19 relief efforts chosen by selected by Bethesda’s individual studios and international offices.
Additionally, Bethesda staff will be interacting with the community through streams from home as part of the Rockville, Maryland-based company’s #BethesdaAtHome campaign. You can find the streaming schedule at Bethesda.net or tune in directly by visiting Twitch.tv/bethesda.
We at Hey Poor Player commend the folks at Bethesda and parent company Zenimax Media for showing support to these very worthy causes during this unprecedented health crisis.
