How to Increase Your Inventory Space to 4 Rows in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Bells are always there but the pockets change

If you’ve been playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons for awhile, you’ve likely already increased your inventory space from two to three rows. At first, that little update is incredibly helpful; however, it isn’t long before even three rows feel a little on the small side. Luckily, there’s another upgrade that will further increase your inventory space from three to four rows, or 40 items total.

First, make sure you’ve upgraded Resident Services from a tiny little tent to an established building. Resident Services will be tented and inaccessible for a full day during this time. Worried about your ABD daily streak? Don’t be — you’re automatically granted a seven-day streak for the inconvenience.

After the brand-spankin’ new building opens for business, head on over to that ABD and redeem some Nook Miles. This time, you’ll be looking for an item called the Ultimate Pocket Stuffing, which will set you back 8,000 Nook Miles.

After purchasing, your character will read the little guide, and voila! Four rows, ready to be filled with fruit, crafting materials, furniture, Easter eggs, and, of course, tarantulas.

We at Hey Poor Player hope this guide saves you some time when taking your first steps into Animal Crossing: New Horizons on the Nintendo Switch. Read the full Animal Crossing: New Horizons guide here!
