Citing COVID-19 related bandwidth restrictions, Square Enix makes returning to Midgar a little easier for fans ahead of Final Fantasy VII Remake’s launch next week.
The long-awaited Final Fantasy VII Remake is almost upon us. With the game’s launch just a week away, Square Enix has announced that those who’ve purchased the game digitally can now pre-load the hugely anticipated JRPG ahead of its April 10 launch.
“We know that due to the COVID-19 pandemic and many people having to stay at home, some of you may be experiencing extra pressure on your internet bandwidth. We wanted to give all our fans some extra time to download the game,” said the game’s producer, Yoshinori Kitase, in a press release distributed today.
Square-Enix also published the final pre-release trailer for the game. The footage, which clocks in at just under four and a half minutes, showcases some of the more spectacular moments in the game while offering a fresh look at the way Final Fantasy VII Remake adds new flavor to some of the most iconic moments from the iconic 1997 JRPG.
