Watch as RE Community Manager Katastrophe stalks the ruined streets of Raccoon City in this Resident Evil 3 gameplay livestream.
With less than a month to go until the game’s release, today, Capcom UK hosted a live gameplay stream of Resident Evil 3 to showcase an early portion of the reimagined survival horror title.
Hosted by Capcom’s Resident Evil Community Manager, Kat (@ImKatastrophe), the gameplay, which starts at 9:46 in the stream below, begins with former S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team member Jill Valentine searching for supplies in the Redstone subway station before venturing out into the ruined streets of Raccoon City. After she leaves the dilapidated station, we get to see the game’s Perfect Dodge mechanic in action, and of course, more flesh-hungry ghouls. The rest of the gameplay stream does an excellent job of showcasing Resident Evil 3’s strikingly detailed graphics and haunting urban environments before Jill has her throat ripped out in gruesome fashion by a shambling corpse. Yummy!

Resident Evil 3 is launches on April 3 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and P.C. and will include Resident Evil: Resistance, an asymmetric, card-based multiplayer companion game. However, if waiting a month to get your grubby mitts on the game is just too much for you to handle, don’t fret. Capcom recently announced plans to release a demo ahead of its release.
So, what do you think of the look of Resident Evil 3 so far? Do you think it’ll live up to last year’s masterful Resident Evil 2 remake? While we’re not ready to make that call, the future is certainly looking bright for Capcom’s pioneering survival horror franchise. Let us know in the comments section.
