Get an early taste of what awaits as the Phantom Thief Joker in Persona 5 Scramble’s Japanese demo, now available for free through Amazon Japan.
Today brings good news for those interested in getting a taste of what awaits in Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers.
Siliconera reports that a demo for the upcoming Switch and PlayStation 4 spinoff title in Atlus’ RPG series is now available on Amazon Japan. Set in the game’s opening area, this brief sample of gameplay allows you to experience the opening moments of the game, which launched on February 20 in Japan, as the Phantom Thief Joker.
Unfortunately, as the demo lacks save functionality, none of the progress you make will transfer over to the full release. Still, downloading the demo will net you a pretty sweet cellphone wallpaper, so there’s that.
Developed in partnership with Omega Force and P-Studio, Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers is a hack-and-slash RPG fusion of Atlus’ hugely popular Persona RPG franchise and Omega Force’s Warriors line of Musou titles. Set six months after the events of Persona 5, the game puts players in control of the Phantom Thieves as they investigate a series of mysterious events unfolding across Japan.
At the moment, Atlus has yet to confirm a release for Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers in the West. Thankfully, armchair Phantom Thieves waiting to get their palace-pilfering fix only have to wait a few more weeks until Persona 5: The Royal lands on the PlayStation 4 on March 31. We’re already hard at work seeing everything that’s in store for this ambitious remaster. Stay tuned for our full review on Monday, March 16.
