Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth Heads To Steam Early Access Next Month

Celebrate the beloved franchise’s 30th anniversary with Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth, coming to Steam Early Access on March 13.

PLAYISM and developer Why So Serious, a subsidiary of Kadokawa Inc., have announced that Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth will be making its way to Steam Early Access on March 13 in celebration of the series’ 30th anniversary.

Developed in partnership with Touhou Luna Nights developer Team Ladybug, the game is a 2D Metroidvania style exploration platformer that puts players in the boots of the game’s titular elf as she explores an unfamiliar world. Throughout her journey, she’ll encounter familiar characters, including the burly dwarven warrior Ghim, as well as the spirits “Sylph” and “Salamander,” which can be enhanced by defeating enemies and harvesting their Soul Stream to make them more powerful and even regenerate their health.

In addition to mastering the power of Spirits, Deedlit can also wield a wide variety of melee weapons that enemies drop, such as knives, swords, spears, and more. Additionally, she’s also quite handy with a bow which allows her to topple enemies at a distance.

Kadokawa Inc. has released a new trailer for the game, which highlights the game’s tight movement, snappy combat, and breathtaking sprite animation that features a staggering 36 sketches per each individual movement. Check it out below:
