Dead Cells’ 17th update, The Bad Seed, introduces new biomes, baddies, and a sentient mushroom companion.
Dead Cells’ latest DLC, The Bad Seed, is now available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC, developers Evil Empire and developer Motion Twin announced today.
Priced at $4.99, The Bad Seed marks the 17th update to Motion Twin’s brutal, side-scrolling Soulslike. It introduces a new path to explore with optional biomes and weapons to master as you battle fearsome new foes. These new biomes include The Arboretum, a lush realm teeming with cute-but-lethal monsters, and a The Swamp, an overgrown ruin populated by enemies wielding spears and blowguns as well as repulsive purple ticks that want nothing more than to suck you dry.
In addition to the new biomes to roam and baddies to butcher, the DLC also includes a conceptually unique armory that introduces Dead Cells’ first double slot weapon and a mushroom companion. Not only is he a really fungi to be around, but he helps intrepid adventurers along their journey.
