New video details the developer’s passion and inspiration when it comes to the creation of Streets of Rage 4.
DotEmu and developer Guard Crush Games have released a new behind-the-scenes video detailing their vision for their upcoming beat ’em up, Streets of Rage 4.
In the newly-released video, the team behind the long-awaited sequel detail their experiences bringing the game to life and detail the games that inspired it, including (Street Fighter III: Third Strike, Virtua Fighter, Guardian Heroes, Sengoku 3).

The first new title in the long-running beat ’em up series in 25 years, Streets of Rage 4 marks the return of ex-cops Blaze Fielding and Axel Stone as they battle hordes of Syndicate thugs. The game features a new and expanded combo system including juggles, flashy super specials, and a soundtrack composed by longtime series composers Yuzo Koshiro and series co-composer Motohiro Kawashima alongside Yoko Shimomur, Hideki Naganuma, and Keiji Yamagishi.
Streets of Rage 4 is currently in development for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC. A release date for the game has still yet to be determined.
