Forth Trine 4 Indie Access Video Released

Creators Discuss the Finnish Nature Inspiration for

Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince

Modus Games have today uploaded their fourth “Modus Indie Access Video”, for Finnish developers Frostbyte’s upcoming project Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince.

During the video, the creators of the game discuss the characters,  story and the game world, inspired by Finnish nature. Writer Maija Koivula and Art Director Charlotta Tiuri discuss how the landscape is inspired by the nature of their childhood, and what the Gameworld means to them.

“One of the levels is inspired by the lake region of Finland. It’s a really import place for me because I spent my childhood summers there. There is this rare seal living in Lake Saimaa and we actually took that and put it in the game.” – Charlotta Tiuri, Frostbyte Art Director

Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince is set to be released next month on the 8th of October. The game will be available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. More information can be found on the game’s website. Players who preorder the game will get access to the first three Trine games, and launch day access to the game’s bonus DLC level Toby’s Dream.
