The Bard’s Tale IV: Director’s Cut Is Getting The Retail Treatment

InXile’s fantasy RPG gets physical tomorrow in Europe, North American retail release to follow on October 11.

Following its digital launch on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One last month, publisher InXile Entertainment has announced plans to release a physical edition of their critically acclaimed fantasy role-playing game The Bard’s Tale IV: Director’s Cut in Europe tomorrow, September 6, with a North American release to follow on October 11.

Priced at $39.99, the retail version of The Bards Tale IV: Director’s Cut comes with a number of exclusive bonus items including a physical poster map, as well as the Fire Horn, Kael’s Axe, Red Boots, and Bardic Brian Skin & Booty in-game items.

Of course, if you don’t want to wait to get your hands on the physical version of the game, it’s now available digitally on Xbox Game Pass, the PlayStation Store, and Steam and GOG for PC. 

Released on August 27, The Bard’s Tale IV: Director’s Cut introduces a number of enhancements over the 2018 original including “thousands” of bug fixes and system tweaks, updated visuals, and more. For a closer look at what’s in store, check out the First-Look trailer below:
