Remember: Free to Start, not Free to Play.

Who’s ready for some Nintendo Direct shadow drops? Our first of the day is Super Kirby Clash: a Nintendo Switch sequel to 2017’s Team Kirby Clash Deluxe for 3DS. Originally a sub-game within Kirby Planet Robobot, this clever take on Monster Hunter bursts to life in HD, as seen in the below trailer.
It’s important to note that unlike the 3DS game, this game is free-to-start. Whereas one could simply choose not to purchase Gem Apples — the in-game currency — you’ll probably be plopping down some cash as you continue the game. Details are still coming out, so those wary may wish to hold off and do some research on the game’s price tags/paywalls before purchasing. Regardless, the game echoes many 3DS features in purchasable costumes, team co-op play, and a truckload of familiar Kirby cameos (including the return of Nightmare from Kirby’s Adventure!).
