Is SEGA Playing It Too Safe With The Genesis Mini?

The Sega Genesis Mini shows promise, but its recycled collection of classics has me wanting more

With the September 19 launch of the Genesis Mini just a few short months away, we now know the full lineup of games included with Sega’s upcoming micro-console. And while many of them are top-notch titles that help define the 16-bit era, I can’t help but feel a serious case of deja vu when poring over the Genesis Mini’s offerings that has me wishing the developer did just a bit more to make the system feel fresh.

What are your thoughts on the Sega Genesis Mini’s 42 titles? Are you looking forward to picking the system up when it launches this September? Let us know in the comments below.
