Lovecraftian Horror Title The Sinking City Gets Haunting Gameplay Trailer

Nothing is what it seems in the latest trailer for The Sinking City

The Sinking City

Developer Frogwares and publisher Big Ben Interactive today released a new trailer for their upcoming, Lovecraft-inspired adventure title The Sinking City.

The trailer highlights the eerie city of Oakmont that serves as the game’s setting. In it, we’re treated to a look at all sorts of unsettling imagery and eerie monsters as the game’s protagonist, the private investigator Charles Reed, experiences disturbing hallucinations while exploring haunting environments. Of course, being a detective, there’s also a bit of investigation work and even some punchy looking combat as Reed guns down several lurching terrors that would look right at home on the streets of Silent Hill.

Take a look at what’s in store in the “Rotten Reality” trailer below:

If you’re in a hurry to shred your sanity then settle down, you won’t have to wait too much longer. The Sinking City launches on June 27 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

So, will you be diving into the depths of madness when the game releases next month? As always, we love to hear what you think. Be sure to let us know in the comments below.
