The Lifestream persists.
Long have we pleaded for more footage of the hotly-anticipated Final Fantasy VII Remake, and Square-Enix has answered our pleas with a surprise teaser trailer! Crashing PlayStation’s State of Play stream, this sudden footage comes courtesy of the official Final Fantasy Twitter; really, we know you’re just aching to see it, so give it a watch.
Most of the plans are already in place in the run up to launch, so please bear with us a little longer until we can release more information next month – Tetsuya Nomura #FF7R pic.twitter.com/LLMqWw8e9x

Finally, we get another chance to see how the remake actually plays! And don’t worry — you’re not alone in having your eyes welling up at hearing Aerith’s Theme. But more importantly, check out the accompanying tweet: Tetsuya Nomura himself confirms there’ll be more information to come next month. What better time than E3 2019? Perhaps we’ll finally learn the release date of the remake’s first episode, but until then, we’ll just have to scrutinize every frame of this trailer for PS-to-PS4 comparisons and gameplay details.
Oh, and just in case you don’t care for English voice-overs, here’s the Japanese trailer. Perhaps there’ll be voice-switching options?
