Previously announced for PS4 and Switch, Super Neptunia RPG will soon bring 2D to your PC

Super Neptunia RPG

Publisher Idea Factory International yesterday announced that their upcoming side-scrolling RPG, Super Neptunia RPG, will be making its way to PC this Summer. The PC version of the game will include options for English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and French subtitles.

Previously announced for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, Super Neptunia RPG transplants the lovely goddesses of the Neptunia series to the second dimension where, with the help of a mysterious girl named Chrome, they must explore a new world and thwart the efforts of a new foe who wants to roll civilization back to when 2D reigned supreme.

Personally, I think I’d have to root for the bad guy in this instance. How about you?

Developed by Canadian outfit Artisan Studios, Super Neptunia RPG features traditional turn-based battles and vibrant character designs hand-drawn drawn by series artist Tsunako. We got to go hands-on with the game at E3 last year. If you missed it, be sure to check out Kenny’s hands-on preview.

So dear reader, are you excited to dig into this side-scrolling spin-off this Summer? Is 2D superior to 3D? Such pressing questions demand urgent answers. As always, we love to hear what you think. Be sure to sound off in the comments below.
