Nippon Ichi Software’s time-themed RPG is making a connection in the West later this year
Destiny Connect: Tick-Tock Travelers is the latest of Nippon Ichi Software’s titles to be localized NIS America, it’s US subsidiary. Destiny Connect has an interesting premise, though little is known about the game at the moment. Mainly due to the fact it’s still not out in Japan. With a March 14 release date in Japan, we’ll soon know more, but for the moment let’s delve into what we do know about Destiny Connect.
Destiny Connect takes place on December 31st, 1999. Yes, the turn of the millennium, when we were all worried about Y2K and other things that would spell certain doom for us all. The town of Clocknee, however, has gathered to celebrate this momentous occasion. Funny then that an actual apocalypse does occur. Namely, time has ground to a halt.
With time frozen, an army of machines appear. Who are these machines and what is their goal? It’ll be up to you to guide Sherry, Pegreo, and Isaac (a time-traveling robot) through the game to unravel the mystery.
Destiny Connect: Tick-Tock- Travelers will release Fall 2019 for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch version will have an exclusive “Time Capsule” edition available on launch day. This edition will include Flippable COGS and a “Farewell 99” poster.
