Job listing seeks experienced developers “motivated to produce terrain in the Legend of Zelda series”
It looks like Nintendo is already hard at work on the next chapter in the long-running Legend of Zelda series. This company today tweeted that they are looking to hire a 3D terrain designer for a contract position at the company’s home offices in Kyoto, Japan.
According to the job listing, the 3DCG designer will be tasked with modeling both the field and dungeons that the player will explore in the game. The position requires HD-era software development experience, a background in both Photoshop and Maya, and the ability to collaborate in Japanese. Additionally, the company welcomes applicants who “are interested and motivated to produce terrain in the “Legend of Zelda” series.”

Depending on experience and ability, the expected 3DCG designer annual salary could range between 3.8 million yen to 8.1 million yen.
