Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition Now Available

Remastered Classic Available Today for Playstation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam



Fans of Bandai Namco’s long running Tales series have a present to look forward to today, as the remaster of the fan favorite Tales of Vesperia has just been released.  A special release for the game’s 10th anniversary, Tales of Vespiria: Definitive Edition adds in swathes of content that players in the west never got (the original US release was an Xbox 360 exclusive. the PS3 port with additional content never made it stateside).

In their press release, Bandai Namco noted that players can look forward to the following additions and upgrades found in Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition:

TALES OF VESPERIA: Definitive Edition features a specialized version of the TALES OF series’ Linear Motion Battle System for combat, where players control a party member in real-time combat while the rest of the party is controlled by A.I. commands. TALES OF VESPERIA: Definitive Edition also features two new playable characters; Patty Fleur, a young pirate searching for her lost memories, as well as Yuri’s rival and best friend, Flynn Scifo. Along with these new playable party members, TALES OF VESPERIA: Definitive Edition will include additional story scenarios, locations, and costumes that will be all-new for Western audiences.”

Tales of Vespiria: Definitive Edition is available today on Playstation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC with a retail price of $49.99 for the standard release. Collector’s editions at Bandai Namco’s US Store were also available if you managed to snag one on pre-order (currently they are only available via a waiting list).
