Hyper Jam Lights Up Console and PC Next Month

Who can say no to neon?

Hyper Jam

Get ready to start putting up your neon-infused dukes, folks, because developer Bit Dragon has announced that Hyper Jam will be releasing next month.

An arena brawler largely inspired by the sights and sounds of the 80s, Hyper Jam will have up to four players at once squaring off against one another in a variety of radical arenas while they utilize anything and everything from katanas to rocket launchers to ensure their victory. Furthermore, players will also be able to select from a range of perks as they play, providing them with new abilities to help them out in combat. And yes, before you ask, this game will feature both online and local multiplayer modes.

Hyper Jam is an explosive arena brawler that combines precision and satisfying feeling of traditional competitive fighting games with a gritty and splashy neon ’80s aesthetic” said Bit Dragon Developer Roman Maksymyshyn. “Our tea has had an absolute blast developing and playtesting this game, and we’re just about ready to share it with the world. Look out for it soon!”

Hyper Jam will be releasing next month, on February 12, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. Will you be jumping into this nostalgic 80s brawler for yourself? Let us know in the comments below!

Starting out with nothing more than a Game Boy and a copy of Donkey Kong Land, Kenny has happily been gaming for almost his entire life. Easily-excitable and a bit on the chatty side, Kenny has always been eager to share gaming-related thoughts, opinions, and news with others and has been doing so on Hey Poor Player since 2014 and has previously worked with both PKMNcast and SCATcast. Although his taste in gaming spreads across a wide number of companies and consoles, Kenny holds a particular fondness for Nintendo handheld consoles. He is also very proud of his amiibo collection. You can also find him on Twitter @SuperBayleef talking about video games and general nonsense. Some of his favorite games include Tetris Attack, Pokémon Black Version 2, The World Ends With You, Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, Yo-kai Watch, Donkey Kong Country 2, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Kirby's Dreamland 3, Mega Man X, and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (among many others).
