Celeste collector’s edition to include steel book, plush strawberry, pie recipe and more.

Celeste

Fans of physical media who’ve yet to experience Matt Makes Games’ sublime side-scroller Celeste are in luck. Limited Run Games will be ringing in the new year by opening up pre-orders for two different versions of the game next Tuesday, January 1st.

In addition to the standard edition version of the Celeste, Limited Run Games will be releasing a limited collector’s edition version that includes the game, a strawberry plush, poster, soundtrack cassette tape, steel book case, sticker sheet, postcard, patch, and a recipe for strawberry pie.

The Switch version of the collector’s edition will retail for $79.99 while the PS4 version is a slightly cheaper $74.99. Consider it a portability tax.

Check out the collector’s edition of Celeste in the glam shot below:

Pre-orders for Celeste will close on February 1st, 2019, and Limited Run Games plans to ship the game later that month.

Do you plan on trying to get your hands on either the standard or collector’s edition version of this charming retro-inspired romp? If so, which one do you have your heart set on? Sound off in the comments below and let us know.
