Seriously, when was the last time you held one of those?

Remember poring through the included instruction booklet on the car ride home? Just another element of yesteryear abandoned in the face of online convenience, but there was just something about absorbing intricate lore for otherwise simple 8-bit games, logging hints and cheat codes in the Notes section, and simply referring to a handy refresher. The nostalgia’s strong enough for passionate fans to recreate the experience, and that’s just what OharaLibrarianArtur’s done for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Nintendo may not be packaging a manual with the hotly-anticipated fighter, but that didn’t stop this fan from creating a 50-page lookalike; seriously, it looks and reads like an actual booklet!
Legal notices, a Notes section, detailed blurbs and source screenshots for each fighter, and even the lyrics to the Lifelight main theme? That’s some dedication! As it happens, you can even download a print version for personal use here, but as noted in OharaLibrarianArtur’s Smash subreddit post, he’s currently incorporating corrections and suggestions for an updated version, so you may want to hold off on that. Personally, I’m good with appreciating its majesty online, but there’s nothing wrong with a little nostalgia!
