Could a Resident Evil 2 demo be just around the corner?
The official Resident Evil Twitter account posted a tantalizing message today, potentially teasing an announcement to coincide with the Halloween holiday.
The message, featuring the iconic original Resident Evil 2 box art reads “It looks like everyone’s dressing up for Halloween in Raccoon City. Trick, or treat?” Could this mean the company has some special planned for Resident Evil fans tomorrow? With the release of the long-awaited Resident Evil 2 remake just months away, giving players access to the haunting E3 gameplay demo doesn’t seem entirely out of the question.
Of course, we could just as easily be treated to some shots from the development team in their best Resident Evil-inspired costumes. I guess we’ll have to wait until tomorrow to know for sure.
Whether or not a demo finds its way onto our hard drives tomorrow, we won’t have to wait too much longer to explore the ruined Raccoon City Police Department. Resident Evil 2 is slated to release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PCs on January 25th, 2019.
