Update for Super Bomberman R includes 3 new Castlevania-themed maps and Alucard Bomber
Super Bomberman R is getting a fresh injection of new content today with an update that introduces new characters, a new multiplayer game type, limited Bomber Time Events, fun new accessories and three new arenas inspired by Konami’s Castlevania series.
Starting with the new game type, Super Bomberman R’s update adds the Civilians Grand Prix battle mode rule. This twist on the game’s battle mode tasks each team with guiding Balloms back to their team base before being blown to bits by the competition.
As for the new characters, each platform will receive Bomberman TV hosts and Pop’n Music stars Mimi Bomber & Nyami Bomber, along with Alucard Bomber from Castlevania and Upabomber from Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa and Caesar Bomber from Star Soldier. Most platforms will also receive their own exclusive characters. The Xbox One version will receive Halo’s Arbiter and Grunt Bomber. The PlayStation 4 will see both Toro Bomber from Doko Demo Issyo and Pipo Monkey Bomber from Ape Escape. And lastly, the PC version gets Atlas Bomber from Portal.
