Shortest Trip to Earth Departs For Steam Early Access This October

After impressing at Gamecom, Shortest Trip to Earth set to embark on Steam Early Access next month
Shortest Trip to Earth

Shortest Trip to Earth, the upcoming roguelike spaceship sim from Estonian indie studio Interactive Fate, will be making its way to Steam Early Access on October 9th, publisher Iceberg Interactive announced today.

Developer Interactive Fate took inspiration from such classic space sims as FTL and Star Control 2, along with Firefly when designing the Shortest Trip to Earth. Set against the vastness of space, it tasks players with commandeering a spacecraft and a navigating procedurally generated universe teeming with alien life. The game features ship and crew management, real-time combat, and hundreds of multiple choice events that push the story forward.

The initial Early Access build will feature five unique sectors to explore. However, more will be added over the course of the game’s development.

Shortest Trip to Earth received plenty of praise at Gamescom 2018 and was counted among PCGamer’s The 8 best games of Gamescom 2018 as well as Wccftech’s Best of Gamescom Awards – 2018 Edition.
